Primary Responsibilities & Attitude
 
We’re looking for an Associate, Payments to join our growing company, Odyssey Trust! Our ideal candidate is someone who has a strong technical background and attention to detail. The candidate will be known for their work ethic and “can do” attitude and considers themselves to be team players. Payments functions as part of a business unit that handles distribution processes for all branches across Canada.

Key Accountabilities
 
·       Facilitate the issuance of dividends and interest payments to shareholders by interacting with Client Services and Corporate Trust
·       Timely and accurate processing of payments to external parties
·       Maintain Bank Accounts to ensure clean reporting of accounts
·       Establishing and maintaining documented process/procedure manuals of all processes within the finance function
·       Identifying and escalating areas of risk or problems to Line Manager as deemed appropriate
·       Other administrative duties as required
 
Skills and Experience
 
·       Great attitude
·       Exceptional work ethic
·       Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting (U of C, SAIT, NAIT, etc.), or equivalent work experience
·       Exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
·       Solutions-based attitude, answering inquiries with “yes, I can do that for you” or “let me find a way to make this happen”
·       Takes initiative wants responsibility, and eager to learn
·       Knowledge of banking systems or wire set-ups would be an asset
·       Strong proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other desktop application

Compensation

$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
