Associate, Operations – 12 – 18 Month Term

Primary Responsibilities & Attitude
You will be an integral part of our Toronto, Calgary or Vancouver team working a hybrid schedule. On a day-to-day basis, you will be responsible for managing and executing operations requests. Our business is continually evolving, and you will help us shape its growth. We are ideally looking for someone who has experience in the industry (but often thinks about ways things can be done better), is known for their work ethic and “can do” attitude and considers themselves to be an entrepreneurial team player.
You will have a strong relationship with all the organization's teams across Canada. You are someone they can count on to be available when they need you and you take pride in paying attention to detail and completing tasks efficiently. You are responsible to:
· Communicate and coordinate service and operational activities within Odyssey’s Toronto or Vancouver office
· Maintain a strong focus on retention and growth by delivering exceptional service
· Perform quality assurance review for a variety of transactions including complex transfers, share issuances and restricted securities.
· Liaise with internal and external parties to ensure regulatory, risk and compliance measures are met
· Process incoming transfer requests including reviewing for transferability, recording receipts, as demand requires
· Manage day-to-day interactions with shareholders, brokerage firms, and financial institutions with a focus on efficient service
· Complete general administrative duties such as banking, mail distribution, and outgoing deliveries
Skills and Experience
· Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task
· Solutions-based attitude, answering inquiries with “yes, I can do that for you” or “let me find a way to make this happen”
· Attention to detail and takes pride in their work
· Excellent written and verbal communication and comfortable interacting with a range of internal and external stakeholders
· Enjoys working with a small, closely-knit team in a fast-paced environment
· Completion of Canadian Securities and similar courses is preferred, but not essential
· Strong proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other desktop applications.
· A good working knowledge of the securities industry and capital markets is an asset

Compensation
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
